Paneer Tikka Sub Sandwich Recipe

For the tikka

  • 400 grams paneer cut into cubes
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • I tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp kasuri methi
  • ¼ cup curd
  • ¾ cup Veeba tandoori mayonnaise
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

For the sandwich

  • 4 panini bread
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 2 onions, sliced thinly into rings
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced thinly into rounds
  • 1 cucumber, sliced thinly into rounds
  • Veeba tandoori mayonnaise for dressing
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapenos cut into rounds
  • Mix all the ingredients mentioned for the paneer tikka in a large mixing bowl.
  • Toss in such a way that the paneer gets coated well.
  • Cover it and set it aside for 10-15 minutes to marinate.
  • Heat some oil in a frying pan and add the paneer tikka mixture into the pan.
  • Now roast it on low flame so that the paneer gets well coated with the Veeba tandoori mayonnaise and gets a creamy texture.
  • Remove from flame and keep it aside.
  • Now take the Panini bread and cut it horizontally into half leaving the edges of one side joined.
  • Apply butter on the outer sides and roast it on a skillet until slightly crisp.
  • Now lay the bread on a plate and arrange cucumber and tomato slices on it.
  • Next sprinkle some salt and pepper over it and spread the shredded lettuce on it.
  • Over this place the paneer tikka and over it the jalapeno pieces and onion rings.
  • Finally add Veeba tandoori mayonnaise on top and put the above half of the bread over it.
  • Serve immediately.

This is a delicious spicy sandwich that is creamy and also has all the tandoori flavours. It is a wholesome dish and can be eaten during dinner and sometimes you can even enjoy it during breakfast with your morning tea.
