Cheesy Upma Fingers

What you need:

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Veeba Peri Peri Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Rawa
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Veeba cheese and chili sandwich spread

For the dip

  • Mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp urad dal
  • 2 tsp Veeba Salsa

For the coating

  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup Maida
  • 1 tsp salt
  • water

Method:

  • Take oil in a pan, saute chopped green chilis
  • Add chopped onion and saute well
  • Add Veeba peri peri sauce and salt to taste, stir well
  • Add Rawa and stir
  • Now add water and keep stirring
  • Add Veeba cheese and chili sandwich spread, mix well and spread in a tin lined with parchment paper. Press with a spatula to make it compact. Freeze for 30 mins
  • In a pan, heat oil and crackle mustard seeds followed by Urad Dal
  • Add 2tsp Veeba salsa and salt to taste.
  • Add water as required, stir to required consistency and set aside. This is the dip
  • Take the tin out of the freezer. Cut into 2-inch strips.
  • Make coating batter by mixing maida, salt and water
  • Coat the strips with batter and deep fry until golden
  • Serve with dip
  • You can make the presentation unique by serving the dip in shot glasses.
